You want a piece of Britney Spears? It won’t come cheap.
Seven articles of clothing once worn by the pop star are among the pieces being offered to the public by online auctioneers Gotta Have It! as part of their upcoming Rock & Roll Pop Art Auction.
One of the featured pieces is a T-shirt worn by Spears, 26, while she was a cast member on the New Mickey Mouse Club and signed by her costars, including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Keri Russell. (Spears had given the shirt to her grandmother.)
“Something like that has never come up for auction before,” Gotta Have It! owner Ed Kosinski tells PEOPLE. “We expect it to go for between $15,000 and $20,000.”
Other Spears items include costumes from her “Drive Me Crazy” and “Oops, I Did it Again” tours, a blue and white sexy Santa dress she wore in a Christmas ad for Pepsi in 2000, and the orange coat and pants she wore to the Billboard Music Awards that same year.
Also on the block: a pair of jeans that Marilyn Monroe wore in the film River of No Return, which Spears had received as a gift from Tommy Hilfiger. Kosinski expects them to sell in the range of $60,000 to $80,000.
Proceeds from the sale of the Spears memorabilia, which was provided by Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group on behalf of the singer, will go to a charity of Tri Star’s choosing. The company’s owner, Lou Taylor, is a spokesperson for the Spears family.
In addition to the Spears items, more than 500 lots will be offered – everything from an Elvis jumpsuit to Madonna’s 1987-1988 datebook.
The datebook is “all hand-written and what she did day-to-day – if she had dinner, if she had rehearsals,” says Kosinski. It even includes phone numbers for Madonna’s then-husband, Sean Penn, and her Dick Tracy costar, Dustin Hoffman. Estimated selling price: $6,000 to $8,000.
The online auction will be open from July 21 until Aug. 6.
Singer- Song writer Kara Dioguardi has signed on for Britney’s new upcoming album. Kara wrote and recorded vocals for “Brave New Girl” from the album “In the Zone”, she also produced “Ooh Ooh Baby” and “Heaven on Earth” from Britney’s latest album “Blackout.”
Following her guest-starring stint on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother,” Britney Spears has been left off of the list of Emmy’s 11 semifinalists in the category of best guest actress in a comedy series, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Mel Gibson tried to play matchmaker between his son and Britney Spears, it has been claimed.
According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, the ‘Braveheart’ actor tried to hook Britney up with one of his twin sons, Edward — who was recently in rehab for cocaine and alcohol addiction.
Mel thought his son — who has turned his life around since he was admitted to the Cri-Help rehab facility in Hollywood last year — could help the troubled Toxic singer do the same.
A source tells the publication, “Mel felt Ed would be a great influence on Brit, and if the relationship turned into romance, all the better.”
Mel then arranged a meeting between the pair at Britney’s Hollywood Hills home last March, says the source.
“He sincerely believed that his son could help Britney stay on the straight and narrow and that they might hit it off as a couple as well,” the source adds.
But Spears refused to see Ed, and hid from him and Mel as soon as they arrived at her house.
The source continues, “She hid from them for most of the night. Mel and his son spent most of their evening talking to her bodyguards!”
Though his matchmaking didn’t work, Britney has been touched by his offers of support.
“Mel has become her close confidante,” says the source. “Mel’s helped out other stars, such as Robert Downey Jr. — and he’d love to see Britney do as well as Robert has.”

A Mickey Mouse Club T-shirt that Spears owned and gifted to one of her grandmothers will be up for auction later this month from New York’s Gotta Have It memorabilia site. It’s expected to go for as much as $20,000 because it’s also signed by fellow castmembers, including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Keri Russle.
Why she gave it to her grandmother, I don’t know, but the future pop star signed it, “I love you grandma.”
Also on the block will be one of Madonna’s daily planners from the late-’80s. That should fetch between $9,000 and $11,000, according to an auction rep.

Brit’s old stomping ground, Starbucks, has just announced they are closing 600 of their underperforming stores in the U.S.. Although Britney — and her fellow over-caffeinated and oversized sunglass-wearing peers — do their daily part to keep the coffee chain afloat, around 12,000 positions will be eliminated.

Get a role on Broadway and move to New York! “Britney was in serious talks to be the new Sandy in the show ,” a Broadway insider reveals, but father Jamie wants her to wait ’till “she’s ready.” And how would K-Fed relocate to the Big Apple?
Why, by getting a Broadway role as well! Apparently, he almost nabbed the role of the UPS man in Legally Blonde, and the source says that “he [Kevin] and Britney have talked, and they’re hoping that in six to 12 months they can both be in New York with the kids, working in different shows.”

Britney Spears is working on a new album, and one of her producers has predicted it will be a return to form for the once-reigning pop queen. Rodney Jerkins recently told online music site Rap-Up TV that he and Spears have laid down tracks over the past month that he described as “very dance-y, really up-tempo, in the clubs, aggressive, catchy and real hook-friendly.”
The untitled record, which is reportedly due out in early 2009, marks a reunion for Spears and Jerkins, who last worked together on her self-titled 2001 album..
“I’m trying some new things [with Spears],” Jerkins said. “I’ve always worked with Britney, and I love working with her. I’m trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project.”
Jerkins will reportedly produce two songs on the record. He said that despite the singer’s sometimes-chaotic personal life, Spears has been a thorough professional during their sessions so far.
“It usually takes people a long time to record songs and we just did a song,” he said. “She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30 — did the whole song, in and out. I was very happy to see she’s working on the positive side, and she’s moving toward new things now. … I think it’s about to be her time again.”
By most accounts, as Spears attempts to iron out her custody arrangement with ex-husband Kevin Federline and searches for a more secluded, kid-friendly home away from the paparazzi, the singer is in a much better space than she was earlier in the year when she was forcibly hospitalized twice.
Producer Sean Garrett, who is also slated to work with Spears on the new album, recently told People magazine, “I know she’s been doing a lot better. … You just want to give her the opportunity to get things back together.”
Last year’s Blackout was the worst-performing studio release of Spears’ career. The disc, for which she did almost no promotion at all, was the first of her albums not to cross the million mark in sales. A spokesperson for Spears could not be reached for comment at press time to discuss the new album.
Sitting across a conference room table from her ex-hubby Kevin Federline on June 26, Britney Spears looked weary yet determined. After months of battling to regain at least partial custody of her children, she was more focused than ever on her goal.
The singer’s renewed determination is thanks to her 17-year old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears who, following the birth of her own daugther, Maddie Briann Aldridge, has become a role model for motherhood to her big sis.
“As happy as she was for all the joy Jamie Lynn is experiencing it was heartwrenching for her to think about her own situation with Sean Preston and Jayden James,” a source close to the singer tells OK!. “She knows she has to do whatever the court, her attorneys and her doctors tell her to get the boys back.”
One thing is for sure — Britney is finally ready to participate and play the game. On June 24, the singer,26, went before commissioner Scott Gordon asking for a change in her custody. In a huge win, Gordon granted Brit one overnight with her boys.
Then, two days later as first reported by OK!, the unthinkable happened. Brit and K-Fed met face to face with their attorneys for an out-of-court conference in the hope of settling their custody dispute ahead of an August trial date.
“Britney and Kevin were very comfortable with each other,” an insider tells OK! of their meeting. “Their conversations are extremely cordial and getting better.”
But although their intentions were good, Brit and Kevin were unable to compromise on their custody arrangement. A source close to the case tells OK! that K-Fed’s unwillingness to budge has mostly to do with Britney’s conservatorship, which the court has ruled still necessary to her recovery. As long as her conservatorship remains in place, K-fed wants 100 percent full custody of their two sons. “Legally, Britney is a child,” the insider tells OK!. “How can Kevin possibly give up any custody of his children to someone who is a child herself?”

According to just released court documents, Britney wants to move to a “lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood” that is closer to parks so her boys can play. She’s also looking for a house with a bigger backyard.”

Britney Spears spent Saturday night with her boys at her Los Angeles home.
It was the singer’s first overnight visit with Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, since she was hospitalized at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January.
The boys were dropped off Saturday and picked up around 10 a.m. Sunday, according to a source.
“Britney was very upset after the kids left,” the source tells Usmagazine.com. “She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”
At a hearing last Tuesday, Spears, 26, was granted overnight privileges.
Asked if she were pleased with the judge’s ruling, she smiled and told Us, “yes.”
Meanwhile, Spears and ex Kevin Federline — who was spotted partying in Miami over the weekend — are gearing up for a custody trial, set to begin August 25.
Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! that a mediation session last Thursday didn’t result in a custody agreement.
Federline is seeking sole physical and legal custody of sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2 and wants Spears to continue her current visitation terms.
Said Kaplan, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial. But that didn’t happen.”
Moving house for Brit is especially important now that Spears is back in the good graces of the court and, as a result, has her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James back in her life for more frequent—and as of this weekend, overnight—visits.
Case in point: Fresh off their Saturday night stay at Casa Spears, the boys were back with Britney this morning, less than a day later, getting dropped off at her Summit residence at roughly 8:30 a.m.
A source tells E! News that, as per the newly hammered-out visitation schedule between her and Kevin Federline, the boys are expected to remain with Spears for roughly eight hours.
