It’s Britney… Port Jeff!
The pop sensation was spotted in and around Port Jefferson on Monday by residents who captured the star in a pic as she was getting into her tour bus. The rumor mill around the village is saying she stayed at Danford’s and shopped in some local stores ahead of her concert appearence at Nassau Colliseum.Tracey Denton Budd alerted us first on our Facebook page that Spears was in town.
Apparently she was staying at Danford’s, three tour buses there,” she posted. “She is playing at Nassau Coliseum tonight. She even shopped in town.”She also said that Spears went to the Frigate, confirmed by an employee who was there.
The picture shows Britney from the back entering her tour bus. It’s not clear if it is in fact the star in the picture but Paige Tonkin who took the picture verified it was her.Twitter was buzzing with people saying she was indeed there. @tzasowski tweeted that his friend saw her in the village and that radio station WBLI tweeted it as well.
Also, @Aunt1L said in a tweet that “Britney Spears and her tour buses in Port Jefferson Long Island for a few days, very cool!” And @charisa_mc couldn’t believe that Spears was here.”Britney Spears is in Port Jefferson New York!” she tweeted. “Cant believe shed appear in our small town. completely amazed by this. lovee you @britneyspears.”Her tour of the North Shore didn’t stop in Port Jefferson. AnnaMaria Buzzetta said that Spears was also in her family’s baby clothing store, Boutique on Main.
“This morning just a bit after noon, and after a few double-checks to make sure I was correct, Britney Spears made a quick walkthrough throughout my family’s baby store,” said Buzzetta in an email.She said that Spears was with “her boyfriend and another unrecognized man.”"She made her selections pretty effortlessly and then followed up to cash out with a pretty large sum of baby clothes and accessories,” she said. “[We] were nearly beside ourselves when it finally set in who it was.
