Sony Music Australia have today confirmed to us that ‘Inside Out’ has been cancelled and will be pulled from NZ radio in coming weeks, to be replaced with ‘Criminal (Remix)’ internationally.

The newly-remixed version of ‘Criminal’ we’re told has a “completely different tempo”, and will serve as the lead single from Britney Spears’ new remix album B In The Mix: Volume 2, out in Australia on September 30. The remix album will feature ‘Criminal’, tracks from Circus and Femme Fatale, and new unreleased tracks.

Criminal’s new version will be serviced to Australian radio on September 12th. The tracklist of B In The Mix Vol 2 is yet to be confirmed.

Sony tells us to expect the ‘Criminal’ music video in mid-October.

	Britney And Dr.Luke Officially Didn’t Rip Off The Bellamy Brothers Written by Joanna on 2nd Sep 2011 and filed under General

The legal system has confirmed what was already obvious: Britney Spears’ song “Hold It Against Me,” which contains a popular cheesy pickup line, did not rip off the Bellamy Brothers song “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me,” containing the same popular cheesy pickup line. So says a Florida court filing resolving a defamation lawsuit Dr. Luke filed against the Bellamys for suggesting he ripped them off.

As part of the filing, the Bellamy Brothers acknowledged the lack of plagiarism or wrongdoing, which should have been fairly clear to begin with. The Bellamy Brothers’ song (listen hereGroucho Marx got to the pickup line before any of them. Basically, they don’t even make ripoffs similarities like they used to. Or lawsuits. You can debate whether they make songs the way they used to.

	Britney A’s Your Q’s About Her Bod, Her Tour & Her Newest Fragrance Written by Joanna on 2nd Sep 2011 and filed under General

Picture 101 In the midst of her Femme Fatale tour, Brit Brit is launching yet another fragrance, COSMIC radiance, which she dreamed up in the midst of finishing up her Femme Fatale album (not surprisingly, she’s a Sagittarius – constantly onto the next thing).

Despite an insanely-packed schedule, she still had time to answer a few questions (nosy, yes…but necessary!)

How did you get into shape before going on tour?

I got a lot of exercise from rehearsals – I danced 6 hours a day – but I also trained really hard to prepare my body for the tour. I ate really clean and healthy. Dieting is definitely the hardest part! I work with a trainer 6 days a week and sometimes I workout after I perform because I have so much adrenaline.

What do you enjoy most about being on tour?

I love the energy and excitement of my fans, and I really love to perform. My dancers and I say a prayer every night before we go on stage, I kiss my boys and Jason and then I get into position. It makes me so happy to be able to connect with my fans every night.

Are you looking forward to your European leg?

I am! I love Europe. I am also very excited to be touring in South America now as well. I haven’t been there in years and I can’t wait to see all my South American fans!

What was the inspiration behind COSMIC radiance?

COSMIC Radiance is very feminine and girly. It’s sweet and citrusy with a hint of my favorite scent- night blooming jasmine. It’s a tribute to bold and empowered, confident, fun and flirty women. I’m really into strong women and empowerment right now.

Picture 100 What makes COSMIC radiance different from Radiance?

They are very similar in the fact that they are both fruity scents. Radiance is more of a berry scent and Cosmic Radiance has a citrus scent. It has been about 6 months now that I have been working with Elizabeth Arden on Cosmic Radiance. I am excited to see what my fans think of it.

What was the best part about creating your own fragrances?

Creating fragrances is another way I get to express myself. I have learned a lot about distinguishing different types of scents, mixing, matching and pairing to make something unique. It’s really fun!

Who is your beauty icon?

Audrey Hepburn. She defines what a truly beautiful and classy woman is.

What is your top beauty tip?

Beauty is really all about having the power and confidence to be yourself. Beauty comes from within.

Britney Spears will be honored at the upcoming NRJ Music Awards, Saturday, January 21, 2012, live from the Midem in Cannes.

Nikos Aliagas who Britney has met with on several occasions stated:

“There will be a tribute to a pop icon, the same person who had the VMA Vanguard Award”, announced on his Twitter account, a few hours ago, who leads the NRJ Music Awards since 2009. It could also receive an honorary award for lifetime achievement.

Nikos has been involved heavily with NRJ over the years and was present when Britney performed on Star Academy.

Also, Jive has reportedly confirmed the release of the second B In The Mix – The Remixes album. It will include mixes from Blackout, Circus, Femme Fatale and several unreleased tracks.

Ted Leonsis is a billionaire, a former top man at AOL who now owns the NHL’s Washington Capitals and the NBA’s Washington Wizards, but he couldn’t get the time of day from superstar Britney Spears.

“Last week I was in Chicago attending a board meeting.

After a board dinner, I left the restaurant and traveled back to my hotel with a business associate.

We got out of the car and we talked for a few moments before I headed into the hotel; and he walked to his apartment a few blocks away. While we were chatting; an SUV pulled up and a woman; an older woman and 3 burly men got out of the SUV and walked past us. I glanced over and said to my associate, “I think that was Britney Spears”.

He said “No way! wonder what she is doing in Chicago?”.

We talked some more and then I walked to the elevator that goes to the lobby. I went to the lobby and walked through it to the elevator bank that takes you to you room.

As I turned the corner, I saw this same group of people huddling and then elevator arrived the door opened and we all walked in.

So now it is me, a younger woman, an older woman and 3 body guard types in the elevator.

I press my button.12th floor.

The elevator heads up.

I turn to the side to look for a moment to see this huddled group of people. It is Britney Spears. She is wearing a hoody sweat shirt and sweat pants.

It is a bit uncomfortable; uncomfortable silence. I eventually say “Hello Britney – excuse me for saying this but I own the Verizon Center in DC. You played a concert there last month and my family enjoyed the show very much – thank you”.

I immediately feel like a geek for saying a word.

Britney doesn’t respond. Doesn’t acknowledge that something has been said – doesn’t move – doesn’t say anything. Has a blank stare on her face. She is far away. A body guard slowly moves right in front of me; is at eye level with me and doesn’t say a word. Just stands right in front of me. Passive. But he is there. Silent. Looking into my eyes.

My floor is reached 10 seconds later. I step outside and the elevator continues upward.

I walk off and laugh to myself.

And think. “Yikes”. THAT was weird.”
