Getting engaged is agreeing with Britney Spears, and everyone in Hollywood seems to be supporting her! One of her many fans is rapper 50 Cent, who told told reporters at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert in NYC last night how happy he is for her.
“I am so happy for her,” he said. “Britney Spears had a rough time. The press took the biggest opportunity ever to dog her. When you reach that point, you work really hard to get where she was. It’s interesting because the general public likes to build you to destroy you for the sake of entertainment, and I’m happy for her to be happy.”
Fiddy continued by saying he thinks Britney is ready to be married for a third time. “I hope she is,” he remarked. “Wouldn’t you like to hope? Let’s just put that in the universe that she is ready.”

Cue the rice throwing and champagne bottles popping, because Britney Spears is engaged again!
And, for the record, we could not be happier that the pop star landed a ring on her finger courtesy of now-fiancé Jason Trawick. And while people may be phoning their bookies ready to place bets on how long Brit-Brit’s marriage will last this time, we’re hearing the third time really may be the charm:
“You can’t even compare the chances for this marriage to her others,” a source thisclose to Camp Spears promises us.
And that’s not all our spy had to gush about the gal…
“Britney is in such a better place than she was before,” we’re told. “Her outlook between then and now is night and day. So she’s better off right there.”
This makes us so happy. Go Brit!
After all the tabloid trouble she’s had in the past (not to mention little luck on the love front with her two ex-hubbies), we’re glad to hear that things are looking up for Ms. Spears. We knew she had it in her to sort everything out professionally and personally.
Trust us, the latter was the harder of the two for the femme fatale.
So how did Jason help turn things around?
“As to Jason? Britney’s actually gotten closer to her father the past couple of years,” our source fills us in on the family Spears. “And I think that says a lot on how well it’s going to last. She’s cool with men. I think less so women.”

It took two weeks of top-secret planning to pull off Britney Spears’ surprise 40th birthday party in Las Vegas for Jason Trawick. But the pop superstar herself went public about it when he suddenly proposed the night before — and she accepted and slipped on the engagement ring he’d help design.
Giddy and in love, the couple was inseparable while staying here at Planet Hollywood in a mega-high-roller suite and posed for official engagement photos on the mezzanine overlooking the casino floor. Photographer Denise Truscello was invited by Planet Hollywood International chieftain Robert Earl to photograph the couple as a cake was delivered.
They were still hand-in-hand, side-by-side and nonstop kissy-face when they hit the Paris for a night of fun and romance. First up, shopping in Sugar Factory (where Britney has her own Couture Pop), then the Chocolate Lounge in the adjoining Sugar Factory American Brasserie for a private dinner, and then up to Chateau Nightclub & Gardens, where Britney surprised Jason with a birthday cake as the club joined in a “Happy Birthday” sing-along.
“I’ve never, ever seen Britney happier. It was a great night from start to finish,” her manager Larry Rudolph said. “She had a great time with Jason and their friends celebrating. She got to dance … with her favorite guy in the world and closed down the club.”
Britney and Jason, who was her former agent at William Morris Endeavor Agency where he’d worked for 12 years, had been dating for the past 20 months after they first met over business meetings in 2006. Jason also represented Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Heidi Klum and Paris Hilton.
While the singer plotted the birthday details, he was busy planning the surprise proposal. Insiders tell me that Britney and Jason had discussed marriage several times this year, but it wasn’t until he received permission from her father Jamie, conservators and a judge that he could pop the question, so she never knew when the proposal would happen.
“He was going to put the engagement ring on her finger while they were celebrating his 40th in Vegas, but he decided he wanted it to be far more meaningful and private, so they simply had a romantic dinner for two the night before they flew here,” I was reliably told.
“Britney was ecstatic. It was a dream come true and something she had wanted for a long time.” She tweeted: “Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. I am so, so, so excited.’ Six hours later, she was still on cloud nine and couldn’t help herself, saying via Twitter that they were on their way to Las Vegas and Chateau for his birthday. The 2-week-old secret was out!
Jason, who once worked for the New York Daily News, graduated from Michigan State and received a Master’s in Business from Texas A&M. In May, he started the arts and entertainment arm of the digital entertainment company Famos in Hollywood, where rockers Mick Jagger and Dave Stewart are founding partners. Jason appeared in a cameo in Britney’s latest video “Criminal” in which he slugged her two-timing boyfriend, then rode her off on his motorcycle before their steamy kissing scenes.
What was supposed to have been kept secret for surprise and security purposes was suddenly out in the open. It was a night of fantastic festivities for the duo celebrating their engagement and his birthday. I watched as Britney arrived at Sugar Factory, went shopping and enjoyed dinner, where she playfully fed him desserts dipped in a chocolate fountain set in the center of a display of cupcakes, gumdrops and other sweets. They kissed often during their meal of salmon and pizzas, including the chocolate pizza.
Fans turned up in the hundreds to get a glimpse of the couple, even jumping tables in the restaurant, when they walked up to the club. Security had to close off the retail store and dining area in the Chocolate Lounge to give them privacy. They chose sweets for each other and purchased goodies and T-shirts for her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, who were back at Planet Hollywood. Britney picked “I Want Candy” tunics and tops, Sugar Factory jeans and her line of Couture Pops.

I congratulated her and told her she looked fabulous before all of us went upstairs to Chateau. Inside Chateau, wall-to-wall admirers lit up the night with camera phone flashes as Britney and her 30-srong posse of friends and family took over a VIP section, where I joined the party.
She positively glowed in a gold blush Herve Leger bandage dress, which was the perfect backdrop to display her 4-carat Neil Lane circular diamond engagement ring Jason helped design. Jason, in a gray suit with a vest, looked adoringly at his soon-to-be bride throughout the evening.
A friend of Britney’s told me: “She adores him. He helped her so much getting through her messy divorce from Kevin Federline. Her children adore him. He loves them and as a family already; they get along so well. They couldn’t be a better match. Her father loves him — her entire family does.”
As the club’s LED screens flashed “Happy Birthday, Jason,” Britney had a two-tier, black-and-white birthday cake delivered with “Happy Birthday Jason” displayed across the red velvet topping, his favorite. “Britney was so happy about it all,” I was told. “She’d masterminded all the arrangements herself, and it all went smoothly and successfully. Just take one look at them, the way they look at each other, the way they smile at each other, the way they hold each other, the way they dance together, and you know she’s genuinely in love for real for the first time. He’s very much in love with her, too. It’s fantastic.”
If Britney’s fans — and overeager photographers — hoped for a Las Vegas wedding chapel marriage over the weekend, it didn’t happen. “There’s a new Britney. She’s grown up, and she’s in a very solid relationship with a very sensible guy who is her strength and guide,” I was told. “All the past nonsense is out of her life, and she’s fully ready to settle down with him. … She’s told all her friends that the New Year will be about being Mom, staying home and getting married before the summer.”

BRITNEY’S BEAU: Sources close to Britney Spears are universal in praising the pop star’s fiance and ex-agent Jason Trawick as the best thing that’s ever happened in Spears’ personal life. “Jason has taught Britney what it means to be an adult,” said a longtime Spears sidekick.
“He’s stable, he’s smart, he adores her and he’s a true gentleman. … She is so lucky,” added another friend of the entertainer, who has known her for more than a decade.
Also very pro-Trawick is Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline. Apparently, Trawick has treated K-Fed with “nothing but respect,” said a Britney buddy, who also is friendly with Federline. “Jason understands how important Kevin’s kids [with Britney] are to him, and he’s been particularly kind to him.”

It’s only been two days since Britney Spears announced her engagement to longtime beau Jason Trawick, but the pop superstar has already received a huge outpouring of positive messages from her family, friends, and fans all over the world. Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof, a Spears family friend, at her Dec. 17 appearance at Lord & Taylor in New York City, where the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star met with hundreds of fans who were there to snap up pairs from of Adrienne’s new shoe collection — which she designed in collaboration with legendary footwear label Charles Jourdan.
When we asked her about Britney, Adrienne broke into a huge smile.“I’m filled with well-wishes for her,” Adrienne told us. “My whole family, we love Britney. I especially love her father. He’s a wonderful man and I’m sure he’s thrilled.” And while she hasn’t spent considerable time with Jason, Adrienne says she’s sure Britney’s making the right decision. “I’ve only met Jason a few times, but he seems lovely,” Adrienne said. “I’m very happy for her. She’s a great girl. I wish her all the best.”

First comes love, then comes bling, then comes marriage.
Britney Spears is engaged to her man Jason Trawick, and while they partied on Dec. 16 at Chateau Nightclub in Las Vegas, the whole world got a look at her ring. E! News reached out to a jeweler, who told us exclusively that he estimates the diamond and setting cost upwards of $200,000. For comparison, Britney’s engagement ring from her marriage to hubby No. 2 Kevin Federline was 5.5 carats, designed by jeweler Cynthia Wolff and estimated at roughly $40,000.
Here’s what we know about Britney Spears’ bauble, as bequeathed to the newly engaged pop star by fiancé Jason Trawick (and speaking of rings, that certainly has a nice one to it.) E! News has confirmed that celeb favorite and jewelry designer extraordinaire Neil Lane designed Britney’s engagement ring. According to Lane’s rep, Trawick personally worked with the designer to create the diamond-bearing band into Spears’ “dream ring.” The diamond is round, comes in around four carats with perfect clarity, and features micro pave diamonds around the band. “It’s classic, simple, and beautiful,” they said.
Meanwhile, Spears is in good company with her Neil Lane band, as plenty of other stars have or are still donning the jeweler’s engagement wares, among them Zooey Deschanel, Emily Blunt, Kristen Bell, Milla Jovovich, Jenna Dewan, Kate Beckinsale, Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon.

Britney Spears may be a pop-star diva to the rest of the world, but to beau Jason Trawick, “she’s his everyday princess,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who designed Spears’s dazzling engagement ring to befit Trawick’s vision of the singer’s down-home regality. “Jason is a romantic and when I asked him to tell me about Britney and what the ring would represent to them so I could find inspiration, his response was always the same — she is his princess!”
With that theme in mind, Lane tells PEOPLE he designed from scratch a tiara-motif sparkler with a round, perfect white diamond in a handmade platinum setting that “looks like a mini crown,” the celebrated jeweler says. He also added 90 small round diamonds around the eternity band. “Jason didn’t want an over-the-top ring with a giant stone,” he adds.
Over the last month, Lane and Trawick clocked phone and email minutes as they collaborated while Trawick was traveling with Spears on her global tour. “Texts came from all over the world, from Abu Dhabi, Mexico and I don’t know where else!” says Lane.
But when Trawick stopped into Lane’s Los Angeles store to pick up the ring — less than one week before the proposal! — they both knew the hard work and scheming had paid off. “Oh my god, he loved it,” Lane shares, adding that he could tell Trawick had pre-proposal jitters. “The guy was so excited and nervous. At the end of the day, even with all the fame, he’s still a normal guy who was about to propose to the woman he loves.”
That said, Lane believes this couple is in it for the long haul. “He’s deeply in love with her. Britney is his princess and he is her knight in shining armor,” he says. “Jason’s protective of her. He adores her. Every good fairytale needs a princess, and now Britney has a ring fit for a princess!

Britney Spears had a pretty sweet celebration Friday night to celebrate her engagement to fiancé Jason Trawick.
After arriving in Las Vegas, the couple headed to Planet Hollywood where they checked into their 3,100-square-foot suite designed by former Top Design host Jonathon Adler. Dubbed a “mega suite,” the two-bedroom domicile overlooks the Paris Hotel’s Eiffel Tower and the famed Bellagio fountains. Not to mention, features a stunning red Murano glass chandelier in the entry way as well as a full dining room, living room and jacuzzi tub.
Spears, donning a short, nude Herve Leger dress, stepped out a few hours later and revealed her highly-anticipated Neil Lane sparkler during a congratulatory welcome on the hotel’s mezzanine. Planet Hollywood Chairman Robert Earl presented Trawick with an oversized birthday cake in a quick ceremony.
“She wanted it to be quick because her kids where upstairs and she wanted to put them to bed,” a source told PEOPLE.
Following the celebration, the duo stopped in at Sugar Factory’s Chocolate Lounge where they shared a turkey burger and a club sandwich in a room closed off to the public to give the couple privacy. A line of waiters where later seen bringing a tray of cupcakes and a large sundae of ice cream covered in sprinkles.
And what better place to end the night than Paris’s Chateau Nightclub. Surrounded by friends, Spears, 30, and Trawick, 40, hung out in their own private VIP table overlooking the club’s dance floor.
“Britney seemed happy, holding Jason’s hand,” an onlooker said. They retreated to a private area after 1 a.m., but Spears was “dancing up a storm” until nearly 4.
Fun was definitely had, as her Facebook page reflected a new note early Saturday: “Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family.”

Jason Trawick jumped the engagement gun … ’cause Britney Spears just posted a message hinting that he ALREADY popped the question … and TMZ has learned she said yes!
Britney just went to her Facebook page and wrote, “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo.”
Sources close to the couple tell TMZ … Jason proposed last night … and to celebrate, he organized a giant party in Vegas.
